Chairman, Mr. Dennis Chen has assumed the incumbent position since 2005. Mr. Chen, well recognized in corporate Taiwan, brought his 30 years of experience in strategic planning and managerial expertise to HUGA. He is currently the president of Nam Chow Chemical Group and sits in various board positions of several public companies such as Win Semiconductor Corporation and Inventec Appliances Corp.

Vice Chairman, Ms. Sybil Yang, CFA joined HUGA in 2005. Ms. Yang had taken steps to transform HUGA from a start-up status to a leading LED chip-making company as it is now. Prior to joining HUGA, Ms. Yang worked at Sampo Corp. and Far Eastern Textile in marketing and financial planning positions. Then, she was hired by Baring Securities as the research analyst and then promoted to regional research analyst. In addition to her work experience accumulated in various industrial sectors, Ms. Yang has extensive experience in direct investment, fund management, and corporate finance. Ms. Yang holds a CFA and was the VP of International Investment Trust, as well as former head of Yageo Corp.'s Direct Investment Division.

CEO, Mr. James M. Hong, Ph.D. was retained in 2006 to contribute his experience in class III to IV semiconductors to HUGA. Dr. Hong received his Ph.D. degree in material science from UC Berkeley in California, USA. Dr. Hong, who owns fifteen LED related patents, has published more than hundreds of research papers in international journals. Not only has he attained solid foundation in theories, but he is also familiar with the technology roadmap of the LED sector. He was the receiver of "Outstanding Technical Achievement Award" during his employment with IBM. Dr. Hong led several government-sponsored research projects into commercial production and is believed to be the pioneer of Taiwan's LED industry.
